SUrF Research Workshop: A sustainable “zero waste” urban farming system
SUrF Research Workshop: A sustainable “zero waste” urban farming system
To encourage multidisciplinary discussions on urban farming, the first research workshop was held on 29 September at LT 28. Researchers from NUS Department of Biological Sciences (DBS), Food Science & Technology (FST), Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) and A*Star participated in the event to share their areas of expertise in relation to the aim of achieving “zero waste” and creating a circular economy in the farming industry. The event was also joined by Precede to provide insights on prevailing problems in the industry and how researchers can reach out to companies to resolve them.
