SUrF Research Workshop: An interdisciplinary approach to challenges in urban agriculture
As SUrF strives to stimulate multidisciplinary research to resolve challenges in urban farming, NUS Researchers from the Faculty of Science, College of Design and Engineering, School of Computing and Business School were invited to LT 20 on 20 November 2023 to attend our latest research workshop. The Director of Research Governance and Enablement at ODPRT, Prof. Thorsten Wohland was also invited to give a talk on the NUS’ efforts in the urban farming space.
Participants were invited to give 5 minute presentations on their research interests in urban farming. The topics encompassed various themes central to advancements in urban farming, including “Scientific and technological advancements” and “Emerging trends in urban farming”. Finally, the workshop concluded with a networking discussion session, during which participants from diverse faculties formed focus groups to prepare future grant applications.
