Postdoc/Research Fellow position
A postdoc position is available at the Dr. Yu Fengwei’s group in Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL), Singapore. Dr Yu is a Senior Principal Investigator at TLL and was also the President of Society for Neuroscience Singapore Chapter (SfN Singapore, 2015-2018). The Yu group is interested in understanding mechanisms of neuronal development, pruning and neuro-degenerative disease. Dr Yu has published important papers in Cell, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, Developmental Cell, PLOS Biology, Nature Cell Biology, EMBO J and Cell Reports.
The project will be to explore the mechanisms of neuronal pruning and neurodegeneration in iPSC-derived human neurons and cerebral organoids. The successful candidates are expected to be highly motivated and have strong curiosity in neuronal function and modeling human disease.

Assistant Research Officer (ARO)/Research Assistant (RA)
An Assistant Research Officer (ARO) position is available in Dr Yu Fengwei Group at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Singapore. The group is interested in studying the mechanisms controlling neural development/pruning and neurodegenerative diseases using both fruit fly and human brain organoids. The aim of the projects is also to explore mechanisms of neuronal pruning in fruit flies and its implications in autism. The RA will also team up with PhD student/postdocs. The successful candidate is motivated and expected to provide assistance and support for a couple of interesting projects.
Requirements:
- BSc/BSc (Hon)/ MSc in molecular, cellular biology, neurobiology, or related biological fields.
- Highly-motivated individual who is willing to learn new things and work independently.
