CBIS Seminar: Heterogeneous non-canonical nucleosomes predominate in yeast cells in situ by Tan Zhi Yang
Friday, 16 APR 2021 | Nuclear processes depend heavily on the organization of chromatin, whose subunits are cylinder-shaped complexes called nucleosomes. We use cryo-ET and 3-D classification analysis to show that the class averages of GFP-tagged yeast nucleosomes resemble canonical nucleosomes in vitro, with additional GFP densities, but none of them resemble canonical nucleosomes in situ.
