How do forces and fluids shape early life development?
Speaker: Assistant Professor Chii Jou Chan
Synopsis: Early life formation starts with the maturation of an egg, which undergoes fertilisation and embryogenesis to become a living organism. How does such developmental process take place in a highly robust manner? In this talk, I will discuss recent advances in our understanding of how mechanical force and fluid pressure shape mammalian ovary and embryo development, which fundamentally reshapes our views on reproductive biology.
