CSI: NUS - Forensic Science and the Law

Synopsis:
Fingerprints and blood spatter patterns are well-studied shreds of evidence left by the perpetrator(s) and/or victims at crime scenes. In this talk, the speaker will share her knowledge on these areas and her newly established NUS Forensic Science Research Lab. Attendees attending the talk will understand the detection, collection, preservation, and analysis of fingerprint evidence from various crime situations and surfaces. They will also learn more about blood spatter patterns, such as calculating the angle the blood had struck a specific surface. On top of the aforementioned hands-on booths, attendees will participate in the NUS Forensic Science game quiz and get three questions correct in a row.
