Research Area
Urban Agriculture, molecular breeding, plant physiology, flowering time control, horticultural crops
Research Interest
-
Molecular breeding of novel crops varieties more suitable for controlled environment farming, with good traits including but not limited to dwarf, fast-growing, early-flowering, low light intensity required, enhanced stress resistance, etc.
-
Improving the cultivation protocol from the plant physiology aspect, determined by biomarkers and expression patterns of key genes
-
Identifying key regulators governing vital developmental events using both forward and reverse genetics approaches
-
Investigating the correlation between different lighting recipes with important metabolites
