Research Interest

  1. Molecular breeding of novel crops varieties more suitable for controlled environment farming, with good traits including but not limited to dwarf, fast-growing, early-flowering, low light intensity required, enhanced stress resistance, etc.

  2. Improving the cultivation protocol from the plant physiology aspect, determined by biomarkers and expression patterns of key genes

  3. Identifying key regulators governing vital developmental events using both forward and reverse genetics approaches

  4. Investigating the correlation between different lighting recipes with important metabolites
