Research Interests

My research aims to understand the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms that underpin disease progression of the human heart and brain, and to develop novel screening platform (2D and 3D) for the evaluation of potential therapeutic intervention. Recapitulation of the in vivo cellular microenvironment is important to provide a more biologically relevant surrogate to predict the response of the organism. Our approach involves adopting new technologies in our research to discover key fundamental knowledge in these fields, as well as to apply and translate research findings, both in clinic and industries.
