Our research focuses on obtaining a structural and functional understanding of the proteins involved in key biological questions associated with human diseases; in particular, cancer and infectious diseases. Combining structural approaches with in vitro and in vivo functional assays has led to the identification of critical molecular determinants involved in various aspects of these disease processes.

This knowledge, in conjunction with selected clinical studies, will be instrumental in the design and development of drugs that can act to control, inhibit or augment the activities of these proteins.
