In continuation of our work on anticoagulant effects of three-finger toxins, we purified several others with different specificities towards blood coagulation proteases. Naniproin was purified from Naja nigricollis venom.  It is a monomer. Using ‘Dissection approach’ we showed that it specifically inhibits the prothrombinase complex.
